1. Who we are

CyberSpaceChronicles is a brand of Ham Events & Media Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Ham Events & Media Ltd governing your use of the website at cscafrica.com and its related features (together, the "Services").

2. Acceptance & eligibility

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Services, and old enough to form a binding contract to create an account.

3. Your account

Some features require an account, which you create by signing in with a third-party provider (such as Google, Microsoft or Facebook). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Tell us promptly at hello@cscafrica.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, misleading or infringing.
• Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Upload malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt or overload the Services.
• Scrape, harvest or bulk-download content except as expressly permitted.
• Use the Services to send spam or to violate any law or third-party right.

5. User content & licence

You retain ownership of the content you submit (comments, live updates, photos, video and other material — "User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute and display it in connection with operating and promoting the Services. You confirm you have the rights necessary to grant this licence and that your User Content does not infringe anyone's rights.

We may review, moderate, refuse or remove User Content at our discretion — including live updates submitted via WhatsApp — but we are not obliged to monitor content and are not responsible for User Content posted by others.

6. Contributors & freelancers

If you apply or are accepted as a contributor or freelancer, additional terms (including any commissioning, editorial or payment terms we provide) also apply. Submitting a pitch or draft does not guarantee publication or payment unless we agree otherwise in writing.

7. Our content & intellectual property

All content we publish — articles, analysis, graphics, logos, and the CyberSpaceChronicles and CyberSpaceChronicles names and marks — is owned by Ham Events & Media Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may read and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

8. Third-party links & services

The Services may link to or rely on third-party websites and services (such as sign-in providers, media hosting and WhatsApp). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices; your use of them is subject to their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Services and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Our content is for general information and does not constitute legal, financial, investment or professional advice. While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that content is complete, current or error-free, and you rely on it at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ham Events & Media Ltd and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ham Events & Media Ltd from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict- of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
